Eye-Fi View Launches - Allows Access To Images Form Any Computer or Mobile Device

Eye-Fi Inc. (www.eye.fi), best known as makers of the world's first wireless memory card, today launched Eye-Fi View, giving consumers a new way to access their photos and videos from virtually any computer or mobile device. Along with Eye-Fi View, Eye-Fi also introduced a new email-sharing feature, allowing direct, private sharing of full-resolution images without clogging inboxes or requiring viewers to login. It is simple to use, just log in to the Eye-Fi site and view your uploaded images. From there you can share photos or albums. It is free to use within a seven day window of photos uploaded to the site but beyond that you will need to upload to the premium service and that will cost you $4.99 per month or $50 a year. Sony gives 'VAT Back' on NEX-5

Sony UK is introducing an incentive on certain products purchased before 24 December, where the customer will receive the 'VAT Back'. The products, of which the NEX-5 appears to be the only large-sensor camera included under the scheme, must be purchased before 24 December at the full price inclusive of VAT. Sony UK will then refund the VAT content (14.98%) back to the customer. The cash back must be claimed before 31 January 2011, and Sony says they aim to process the claims within 28 days of receipt.
