Brian Duffy, self-portrait
Brian Duffy, one of a trio of truly iconic British photographers during the '60s, has died at the age of 76.
Duffy, along with David Bailey and Terence Donovan, was the least well-known of the three in the UK. He'll be remembered for attempting to burn his life's work in 1979, a result of being less commercially successful perhaps than his two main rivals, but Duffy was no less talented a photographer and his images are some of the most enduring of the era.
He was suffering from lung disease and died on the 31st May 2010.
